Aims and Scope of the Journal
NIU Journal of Legal Studies (ISSN: 3007-1879), is a quarterly law journal published by Nexus International University, Uganda. The Journal focuses on interdisciplinary academic research in law and legal institutions. It emphasizes social science approaches, especially those of economics, political science, and psychology, but it also publishes the work of historians, philosophers, and others who are interested in legal theory. It is the goal of the Journal to advance knowledge and debate in the field of legal studies, by providing a platform through which scholars and practitioners can share their views, findings and experiences. Given the diverse nature of the legal studies, contributions are accepted from a wide range of disciplines and preference is given to articles that integrate multiple disciplinary perspectives. Contributions that tests or develops a particular legal or social scientific theory about law and legal institutions, including short submissions that critique or extend articles previously published are particularly welcome. All the manuscripts received are subjected to blind review, by the Editor-In-Chief and two editorial consultants. The editorial policy of NIUJLS aims at giving authors timely and constructive feedback and the Journal is particularly interested in assisting able researchers but who may be inexperience in the area of publishing.
